You’ve just found a new Apartment For Rent. Before you move in there are several things you should do. Although many of these items will be taken care of for our corporate clients, the more traditional Apartment For Rent services may not include the items on our list. Below we have included a few tips and tricks.
Apartment for Rent Utilities: Always get the utilities turned on before you move in. Your landlord should give you a list of the utilities you're responsible for and information on contacting the utility companies. When you sign the lease for your apartment make sure the lease states which utilities you are responsible for. Many times you may have to pay a deposit for the utilities, particularly if you haven't had utilities in your name before or if you have credit problems.
Apartment for Rent Insurance: Obtain renter's insurance. It is a rare instance when the owner’s insurance covers the items in your apartment.
Apartment for Rent Address: File a change of address prior to moving into your new apartment so that the post office is able to forward your mail. When you change your location the post office must have a forwarding address.
Apartment For Rent Decorating: Move-in day will flow much more smoothly if you have an idea where your furniture and knick-knacks will go.
